Who would have known, it was all in a play

as the walls came crashing down, in that absurd way
The pussy and locust that lied to your face
and you could see where you would be, and who would take your place
Sit for a calm moment, in the cool meadow
the soul is mellow when the mind is clear
the one existence where you couldn’t smell your fear
You wanted to melt, mending with the wind,
but a tightness of the throat, and the shedding of tears begins.

A world made of images, where you didn’t seem to fit in
You crack the door to the light,
but it was the unpopular sin
So what you saw was in you, and it ate you from within.
the dark water that surrounds, when in a battle you can’t win.

All that’s left now is ashes and soot, maybe more wretched than before

Shadows that were tearing at the egg shell skeleton, are finished devouring its sin.

The ground crushes under foot, like scenes after a fiery war.

The only way you could tie, is if you died, but kept the blood from spilling thin.

The mind when it shatters doesn’t make a noise

But the numbing pulsation begins.

They won’t understand your stories, or believe the scars,

For they cannot understand captured by their own earthbound wars.

They can’t see the shadows, with the light that blinds,

The light prevents all to see why you may fall,

That light on the other side of the wall.
