Thunderclap in the distance,

An awe-inspiring calm

The crabgrass and sea brush

ever bending with the breeze.

“No Wake” the sign protruding slanted from the surface

with a crane perched and neck huddled,

the sign serving its purpose.

Wings spread and head raised,

the crane wakes with the incoming tide.

The marshland dense with tall grass

Becomes a sea within another

Every time the wind sighs

The morning travelers

Pair of sparrow

Pair of finch

The sun has barley risen an inch!

Darting in jagged form

Acrobats in flight

Making all haste in a boundless commute.

The gulls make the rounds

Instilling further life into the breeze.

Business as usual on the bay

and intertwining seas.
